Discover the Irish National Stud & Gardens in County Kildare, a 850-acre treasure owned by the Irish people. As a world-class breeding farm, it offers a rare, public look into the heart of thoroughbred racing, complete with the interactive Irish Racehorse Experience.
Beyond world-class horses, immerse yourself in nature across two stunning landscapes. Walk the symbolic “Life of Man” path through the peaceful Japanese Gardens, or explore St. Fiachra’s Garden, a wild sanctuary of native plants and Irish wildlife. It is the perfect blend of rich sporting heritage and tranquil natural beauty.
The tour leaves from the car park at Shinrone Community Centre at 8.45am sharp. The bus will stop in Roscrea beside the Bank of Ireland at 9.00am. Onwards to County Kildare and a running commentary of points of interest. Arrive at the National Stud for a 10.30 am private tour for 1.5 hours. Lunch at the stud cafe (not included in price) Self guiding tour of the Japaness Gardens then drive to the Kildare Outlet for some shopping or sample some nice cafe’s. Depart 4.30/ 5 arrive back in Shinrone by 6.00pm.
